Purcell suspension in industrial design

The Purcell LED luminaire is a design ceiling or suspension lamp to optimise the lighting of a dining table, bar or central kitchen unit. This Sammode light provides optimal comfort without glare to allow a chic, sober and bright look. This industrial design suspension is made of stained stainless steel in multiple finishes (silver, copper, gold, petrol, brass or black lacquered).

It has been conceived to be used as lighting for any living space, be it a living room, an office or a reception area. This suspension offers three lighting possibilities for three distinct lighting atmospheres. Firstly, the direct light source delivers plenty of glare-free light for reading or working on a computer. The indirect light source provides soft and subdued light. When using both sources together, the lighting of this high quality pendant light creates a soft and cosy mood in the room.

Coming from the industrial world, Sammode collaborates with renowned designers such as Stefan Diez and Yann Kersalé to create designer suspensions for high-end residential layouts.

Designed by Stefan Diez for Sammode, the AIRMOD suspension allows you to match different head colours with a clever array of interchangeable accessories: perforated collimators, sanded or tinted glasses… So many attributes which sculpt the light and transform the atmosphere of your interior! Its low-voltage suspension wires, flexible and discreet, are adjustable to the height of your choice. The lamps have no power cable and seem incredibly light. This real piece of technology is adaptable to all types of layout.

To create a collection of lighting fixtures with a unique and prismatic design, Sammode has conceived the Qinu suspension lamp with designer Yann Kersalé. With its jewel-like appearance, this lamp features a glass body with a prismatic effect of light reflection on the ice. Thanks to two translucent films superimposed on each other,

the luminaire has two facets. When switched on, the first one displays these sparkling prisms. The second, switched off, reflects the surrounding environment like a mirror. Qinu is a word from the Inuit language and illustrates a state of ice, reflecting the name of the collection, Lö (water in french).

With a 5 year guarantee, Sammode’s luminaires are manufactured using a robust protocol developed by our research and innovation centre in Sologne. The components and materials are specially imported from Europe and are selected in our laboratory to be able to withstand extreme conditions ranging from -60°C to +200°C. Our luminaires are made in France and manufactured in our factory in Châtillon-sur-Saône, in the east of France.

Our suspension and ceiling lights are simple, reliable and all supplied with cables. They have a wall outlet for easy connection to the electrical network. Accessories and replacement components are also available to ensure a long life for your lights.
